Augusta Regional Airport Starts First Formal Internship Program for Aviation Students

Augusta Regional Airport unveiled its Education and Workforce Initiative Program on Jan. 14. This marks the airport’s first structured internship.

The initiative gives students a window into aviation jobs. Pilots, mechanics, and technicians are among the positions featured. Participants get real, hands-on training at the Georgia site.

“It means so much to me. I know people that didn’t have the same opportunities that I did. And through those same people, I can learn about the hardships and the experiences that they have and apply them to my experience here.
