According to the National Weather Service for NYC, there is a 40-60% chance of up to 6 inches of snow for Jan 24-25, which covers this Saturday and Sunday.
The barrage of snow is likely to fall from Saturday night into Sunday and will sweep across the majority of the state. Towns such as Poughkeepsie, New Rochelle, and White Plains, as well as the surrounding New York City region, will be caught in the snowfall.
It comes as temperatures will plummet to 17 degrees Fahrenheit during the day and just 11 degrees on Saturday night, rising to 22 degrees on Sunday.
