Man arrested for threatening to ‘shoot up’ S.C. airports

GEORGETOWN, S.C. — A man has been charged after making threats to several aviation-related businesses in South Carolina and lying to federal agents about it.

Ahmad Z’yiem Guilford, 21, is charged with making interstate threats and making false statements to a federal agent.

Several law enforcement authorities received complaints from flight schools and aviation businesses located at airports in Charleston, Georgetown and Florence around November. The complainants said a call was using different phone numbers to make violent and graphic threats to the airports and the people who answered the calls…
