CHARLOTTE, N.C. — North Carolina Attorney General Jeff Jackson warns of a new wave of DMV scam texts that may have hit your phone.
The texts may claim to be the North Carolina Division of Motor Vehicles and claim you have an unpaid parking ticket. The scam threatens license suspension, extra fines or more if you don’t click on the provided link to pay the “ticket.”
