Navy veteran passes away from stage 4 liver cancer, community gathers to remember him

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) – People around the community are gathering to remember Russ Bradshaw. Bradshaw was a Navy veteran, Shriner, master mason, and philanthropist.

Bradshaw battled two different types of cancer in his life.

“He was diagnosed in 2024 with colon cancer, and he beat that. And then on August ten, he was cleared of colon cancer. But in October, the same year, they told him he had stage four liver cancer. So from October till December, he just never showed that he was hurting. I’m going to get choked up. He struggled, though. It took him fast,” said his wife, Tracey Bradshaw…
