OHIO — A food delivery driver was the victim of an armed robbery late Sunday night in Youngstown, prompting a police investigation.
According to the Youngstown Police Department, officers were dispatched around 10:30 p.m. to a residence on West Delason Avenue after a DoorDash driver reported she had been robbed at gunpoint. Police said the driver went to the address, with the exact house number redacted in reports, to deliver an order for DoorDash.
The delivery driver told officers she knocked on the door and was met by a man who said he would return with cash before closing the door. Moments later, two additional men approached from the side of the house, placed firearms against the driver’s back, and threatened her, according to the incident report.
