COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) – A months‑long road construction project in uptown Columbus is set to begin next Monday, and city officials say drivers should expect delays.
The Columbus Consolidated Government said the 8th Street Improvements Project will result in intermittent closures from Front Avenue to Veterans Parkway.
The project is expected to last approximately 120 days. During that time, crews will be working in phases and drivers should anticipate rough pavement and shifting traffic patterns in the work zone.
