ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) — A company is requesting the Allen County Board of Zoning Appeals to approve the special use of farmland for a recreational winter activities park.
American Resort Partners, LLC, wants to build a snow tubing slope and an ice skating rink near the I-69 and I-469 interchange in Yoder, Indiana. They submitted a request to the board in December of 2025, and the discussion of their application is on the board’s agenda Wednesday.
The company says in its application to the board that it has “decades of experience” with ski resorts and snow tube parks.
The LLC claims that the area of farmland near Feighner Road will not be disturbed while it is used for recreational activities, since it will only take place during the winter months, from November through March. The company says that because of its experience and its implementation of a low-density agricultural strategy, the surrounding land will not be affected…
