‘They just ignore it’ | East Tennessee has safety concerns about crosswalks

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – As classes resume for the spring semester across East Tennessee, pedestrian safety remains a concern at school crossings.

The issue came to light after Ted Buel, a Knoxville resident, reported that drivers are “blatantly ignoring” pedestrian crossing signals on Vanosdale in front of West Hills Elementary School.
