Firefighters battled a two-alarm residential structure fire Tuesday night that destroyed a vacant home in the 300 block of South Santa Cruz Avenue, officials said.
Crews were dispatched around 8 p.m. after receiving reports of a structure fire. Firefighters arriving on scene found flames coming from the rear of the residence, according to Modesto Fire Department officials.
