CALIFORNIA (FOX26) — An earthquake swarm in southern California on Tuesday started with a 4.9 magnitude and was followed by over 250 aftershocks.
The United States Geological Survey says the 4.9 earthquake hit near Indio in the Coachella Valley.
That quake was then followed by over a dozen aftershocks including a 3.9 magnitude that shook homes as far as Los Angeles and San Diego, impacting millions of people.
