Southwest Alabama to share in more than $40 million in grants for road projects

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WALA) – A number of road projects in southwest Alabama are among those slated to receive grants awarded as part of the Rebuild Alabama initiative.

More than $40 million in state transportation funds is being awarded for this year to cities and counties throughout the state for 25 road and bridge projects, Gov. Kay Ivey and the Alabama Department of Transportation announced today. Municipalities will also be putting money toward the projects.
