CVS reverses course on decision to close San Francisco store

(KRON) — Last week, CVS said it would be closing a location in the Cathedral Hill neighborhood of San Francisco. Then, the pharmacy said the 701 Van Ness Ave. store would shut down on Feb. 24.

However, CVS has changed its mind, and the Van Ness location will remain open, a company spokesperson tells KRON4. CVS said it re-evaluated its store closure plans and decided to keep that store open.

“The store and pharmacy will remain open and will continue to serve the community. We apologize for any confusion this change in direction may have caused,” the spokesperson said.
