Man pleads guilty to beating minor unconscious

ALBANY, N.Y. (WNYT) – An Albany man who admitted to beating a 17-year-old boy unconscious has plead guilty to assault.

On September 10, Emanuel Mackey-Bailey, 24, ran up behind the victim in the area of Ontario Street and Western Avenue, and swung a board at the side of the victim’s head. Even after the blow knocked them unconscious, Mackey-Bailey continued to strike them with the board, while kicking and punching them.

According to District Attorney Lee Kindlon, Mackey-Bailey also went through the victim’s pockets, and stole their keys while destroying their cell phone…
