Lorenz Kraus appears in Albany court as defense seeks to suppress murder confession

ALBANY, NY (WRGB)- Lorenz Kraus, who confessed on camera to CBS6 that he murdered his parents, is set to appear in Albany County Court for the first time in months.

Kraus, who admitted to burying Franz and Theresia Kraus in the backyard of their Crestwood Court home, pleaded not guilty.

His public defender, Rebecca Sokol, has indicated she may request the judge to dismiss the confession as evidence. Kraus faces charges of first-degree and second-degree murder, as well as identity theft, and has been in custody since leaving the CBS6 studio following the exclusive interview in September…
