AUSTIN, Texas — Austin Water says they are prepared for this weekend’s wintery forecast, and are advising customers on how to prepare their homes for the upcoming freeze.
The utility says that they have winterized their infrastructure by insulating critical components in Austin’s water treatment and distribution systems, and that generators are ready at critical facilities, with emergency backup generator contracts in place to be called in immediately when needed.
