Man takes plea deal, gets 15-year sentence in shooting death of brother

ST. LOUIS — A St. Louis man was sentenced Tuesday after he pleaded guilty to the shooting death of his brother.

Gregory Allen, 65, pleaded guilty to charges of voluntary manslaughter and unlawful gun possession in exchange for a 15-year prison sentence. Allen was originally charged with first-degree murder, armed criminal action and unlawful gun possession in connection with the July 21, 2024, shooting.

According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, Gregory had made numerous threats to his brother in regards to “killing him with a shotgun.” Witnesses confirmed these threats to police…
