A magnitude 3.0 earthquake was reported early this morning near Taylorville and was felt from Bloomington to south of St. Louis, and from Champaign to Macomb.
It happened just before 1:30 this morning. The earthquake occurred at a very shallow depth of a tenth of a mile beneath the epicenter. No damage or injuries reported. One meteorological source says this was the first earthquake centered in Christian County since record-keeping began…
