Man faces 36-count indictment after deadly vehicle crash into Bladensburg birthday party

PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY (7News) — A man accused of driving his vehicle into a Bladensburg, Maryland, children’s birthday party in October 2025, killing a woman, was indicted on over three dozen charges, according to Prince George’s County officials.

Prince George’s County officials announced 36 charges against Sunday Okedeyi Joseph, 66, after he was accused of reversing his vehicle into a large children’s party tent along the 4100 block of 55th Avenue on Oct. 18, 2025, before driving away.

Of the 36 counts, 11 were for failure to return and remain at the scene, another 11 were for reckless driving, three were for hit-and-run involving serious bodily injury, and one count of grossly negligent manslaughter by motor vehicle, officials said…
