ANN ARBOR, MI – The HVAC contractor behind an Ann Arbor Public Schools construction dispute may have to narrow down its allegations in court against the district and the project’s manager — or else, add another defendant — months ahead of a potential trial date.
The Ottawa Lake-based Core Mechanical Inc. was reportedly hired for an $11.4 million renovation at Ann Arbor’s Wines Elementary and Forsythe Middle School in early 2022.
In a complaint filed last August, the company alleged months-long work delays and “severe mismanagement” from AAPS as the hiring party and Clark Construction Company, which oversaw work in a school boiler room, resulted in $2.7 million in productivity and other business losses.
