Grocery retailer deepens presence across Carolinas
Food Lion has entered the greater Pontiac, S.C., market for the first time by cutting the ribbon on its new Elgin store at 10508 Two Notch Road on Jan. 21. Operating hours run from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily.
This opening adds another location to Food Lion’s South Carolina footprint as the grocer continues to grow in 2026 through new stores and remodels. Store manager Isaac Smalls, who has worked with Food Lion for 18 years, said opening the company’s first Pontiac-area store carries personal meaning.
“We’re excited to open Food Lion’s first store in Pontiac and begin serving this community,” said Smalls. “We’re proud to be here and look forward to building strong, lasting connections for years to come.”…
