‘Dangerous’ dog had a man pinned to the ground and was biting him, NC police say

A 911 call reporting a dog attack turned into a daring rescue, after an animal control officer discovered a man being mauled by a “dangerous” dog, North Carolina investigators say.

The incident happened just after noon Tuesday, Jan. 20, on Springwood Road in Asheboro, and another dog was also attacked at the scene, police said.

“ACO B. Harper arrived on scene and observed a man with a dog on top of him. … Harper bravely intervened and was able to detain the dog without harm,” Asheboro police said in a Facebook post. “Harper also obtained medical help for the man due to bite injuries.”…
