Eight families are starting to rebuild their lives after an apartment fire left them without homes.
The fire broke out last Monday at the Summer Tree Apartments. Kim Warren, a resident, was at work when she received the alarming news. Warren said living in the apartment was a fresh start for her after a difficult time; now she has to pick up the pieces.
“Everything is gone,” Warren said. “It’s just like imagining finally pulling yourself out the hole, and you have everything so pretty and a wave comes in from the ocean and takes everything away.”…
