Snowbound: Blizzard of 1993 buried Knoxville under 15 inches of snow

A significant amount of snow as well as ice could potentially to be coming to Knoxville this weekend. The “significant weather event,” Jan. 23-24 is part of a major winter storm that’s expected to affect a most of Tennessee and large portion of the eastern United States, according to the National Weather Service.
