Myrtle Beach area residents are being told to make preparations as the Grand Strand readies for dangerous cold temperatures and significant ice accumulations this weekend.
Stores are already seeing customers coming in search of winter items that they are not usually in need of along the coastal area.
Michael Owens, assistant manager at Boulineau’s Ace Hardware in North Myrtle Beach, said Wednesday that high-demand items are products to melt ice, snow shovels, car scrappers and heaters. “Things for staying warm and being prepared for (the storm),” Owens said…
