San Diego woman describes terrifying dog attack

(FOX 5/KUSI) — A San Diego woman and her dog are recovering after they were attacked by another dog while walking in a neighborhood park, and she is now asking for the public’s help identifying the dog’s owner.

The attack happened around 6:45 p.m. Monday at Mission Heights Neighborhood Park, just north of Fashion Valley Mall, according to Morgan Edgar. Edgar said she was walking her 11-year-old yellow Labrador retriever, Duke, when a long-haired black German shepherd suddenly charged at them.

Edgar said the dog first attacked Duke and then turned on her, biting her arm. She said the attack lasted more than a minute while the dog’s owner struggled to regain control…
