23-year-old man sentenced to prison in Maumee Red Roof Inn kidnapping and beating case

MAUMEE, Ohio — One of the six people charged in connection with a violent kidnapping and beating at a Maumee hotel last spring has been sentenced to prison.

Austin Bradshaw, 23, was sentenced on Jan. 20 by Lucas County Common Pleas Judge Lori Olender after being convicted on multiple felony charges tied to the case.

According to court records, Bradshaw was sentenced on two counts of felonious assault and one count of tampering with evidence. Each felonious assault conviction carries an indefinite prison sentence of four to six years under Ohio law.
