A dense fog advisory is in effect this morning for portions of the Coastal Plains and the Victoria Crossroads, with hazardous travel conditions expected through 9 a.m., according to the National Weather Service Corpus Christi.
Visibility is expected to drop below one-quarter mile at times, creating dangerous conditions for motorists during the morning commute. Drivers are urged to slow down, use low-beam headlights and allow extra distance between vehicles.
Fog is also affecting marine areas, where visibility is expected to range mainly between 1 and 3 miles across bays and nearshore waters. Boaters are advised to navigate with caution, use proper lighting and rely on navigation equipment when possible…
