At 2:12 a.m. on Thursday, the National Weather Service released a winter storm watch valid from Sunday 1 a.m. until Monday 1 p.m. for Sussex, Warren, Morris, Hunterdon, Somerset, Middlesex, Monmouth, Mercer and Ocean counties.
The weather service states to prepare for, “Heavy snow and significant snow accumulations likely.”
“Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning commute,” adds the weather service. “Monitor the latest forecasts for updates on this situation.”
