(WJW) – Many school districts have canceled Friday classes as dangerously cold temperatures return to Northeast Ohio before potentially heavy snow over the weekend.
As of 10:40 p.m. Thursday night, there were more than 100 school closures in the area.

Elyria City Schools took to social media on Thursday evening, announcing that all schools in the district will be closed on Friday, Jan. 23 due to extreme cold and subzero wind chills.
“If your student has an afterschool activity scheduled for tomorrow or an event this weekend, please contact your coach or advisor to confirm whether that activity will still take place,” the post said. “Thank you, and please stay warm and safe!”…
