BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Kern County Sheriff Donny Youngblood joined 17 News at Sunrise for a more in-depth discussion on the ongoing Zack Scrivner investigation, KCSO sergeant drug arrest, a cold case arrest and more.
Sheriff Youngblood began with the body camera video that was taken the night deputies were called to Zack Scrivner’s Tehachapi home. Youngblood said it showed an investigator explaining to Scrivner’s mother, Kathy Scrivner that it is a crime to discourage the two witnesses on scene to not cooperate and or speak to investigators.
Youngblood also spoke on an arrest made in a cold case that happened in 2008. According to Sheriff Youngblood, the suspect’s arrest was possible due to statements and evidence that was left at the scene.
