GREENE COUNTY, Va. (WVIR) – A housefire in Greene County displaced ‘numerous occupants’ Thursday morning, January 22, after flames engulfed the roof of a home on Locust Lane, Stanardsvile Volunteer Fire Department said.
The department’s crews, along with first responders from Ruckersville Volunteer Fire Company, Dyke Volunteer Fire Department, and Madison Fire Department responded to the call that came in around 5 a.m.
None of the people who were home at the time were injured.
After working to extinguish the fire, the department said the home was not a total loss. Firefighters could not confirm any additional information…
