The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch for much of central and south Indiana beginning on Saturday, Jan. 24. For the state’s southern counties, that advisory has been upgraded to a winter storm warning.
Indiana is one of more than two dozen states in the path of what is now dubbed Winter Storm Fern, which meteorologists have characterized as potentially historic.
The advisories along and south of the I-70 corridor goes into effect beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 24, while areas roughly north of that band will be under a warning beginning at 7 p.m. that evening. All but the northwest corner of Marion County are under the 10 a.m. storm watch…
