As millions across the country prepare for The Weather Channel-named Winter Storm Fern, the latest data indicates the system will have a more northward trend as it moves through Kentucky and southern Indiana Jan. 24-25, according to the National Weather Service in Louisville.
A winter storm watch will go into effect for the entire commonwealth and parts of Indiana Jan. 24 from 1 a.m. ET to Jan. 26 at 7 a.m. According to the latest forecast, Louisville residents will also experience cold temperatures, with the low on Jan. 24 expect to reach 10 degrees with a wind chill of -3 degrees.
