Woman Sentenced to Life for Killing Roommate with Cast-Iron Stand in North Naples

NAPLES, Fla. – A 41-year-old woman convicted of killing her roommate in a brutal 2019 attack was sentenced Thursday to life in prison following an investigation by the Collier County Sheriff’s Office.

Amanda Cherie Cook was sentenced Jan. 22, 2026, by Joseph Foster after a jury found her guilty in December of second-degree murder with a dangerous weapon. Cook became disruptive during the sentencing hearing and was removed from the courtroom as the sentence was imposed.
