Fort Pierce, FL – Four teenagers were hospitalized Sunday afternoon after a violent exchange of gunfire broke out in a Fort Pierce neighborhood during what investigators say was an allegedly illegal firearm transaction.
The St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office reported that deputies were called to the 3600 block of Avenue R shortly after 1 p.m. following multiple 911 calls about shots fired.
According to investigators, six people were involved in the encounter. Three individuals arrived in a black Mercedes, while three others were already at the location. Detectives believe the group had arranged to meet to complete a private gun sale. At some point during the meeting, the situation escalated and multiple people allegedly began firing weapons…
