Zoning code updated to allow short-term rentals in unincorporated Sedgwick County

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – Sedgwick County commissioners approved a new zoning code allowing short-term rentals like Airbnb in unincorporated Sedgwick County for the first time.

The new guidelines include requirements like renewing an administrative permit every five years. Property owners must live within 30 miles of the rental in the county. The rules also limit rental occupancy to 20 adults.
