EDGEWOOD, N.M. — Police arrested a woman for child abuse and abandonment after her daughter was found wandering cold and alone in a Walgreens parking lot.
At around 5:35 p.m. Wednesday, dispatch sent Edgewood police to the area to respond to a call about a young child running in the middle of the street without shoes on. Officers arrived and found two people who said they stopped to help the child off of the road. Police stated they found the girl safe.
After police called CYFD and issued a bulletin to track down the parents, they received calls from potential foster families and called possible guardians or people who may be able to identify the child…
