Suspect in arson at nonprofit’s warehouse now faces federal charges

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — An arson suspect is now facing federal charges in connection with a fire at a warehouse used by an Albuquerque nonprofit used to store donations.

Samantha Lee faces a federal count of arson for allegedly starting a fire in October 2024 at the warehouse the Oliver Rigby Foundation used to store sheets, blankets and other goods for animal rescue groups.

Police said surveillance video showed a woman lighting fires in multiple places. The fires erupted the warehouse, causing around $300,000 worth of damage…
