General conference falls on Easter, only one hour of church on Palm Sunday, Church says

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints’ general conference broadcast will fall on Easter this year, and the Church will only have a one-hour sacrament meeting on Palm Sunday.

This year, the 196th Annual General Conference falls on Easter weekend, April 4 and 5. During the general conference, local congregation meetings are not held so that members can listen to the testimony from Church leadership.
