Driver killed in crash on Marksheffel Road identified

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The driver who was killed in a rollover crash on Marksheffel Road has been identified as 22-year-old Esteban Solorio by the El Paso County Coroner’s Office.

According to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD), on Friday, Jan. 16, at around 4:15 a.m., officers were called to a vehicle off the road with debris in the roadway north of the intersection of Marksheffel and Drennan Roads.

First responders arrived on the scene and found a driver dead outside the vehicle from a suspected ejection. CSPD’s Major Crash Team responded, and CSPD said the initial investigation indicated the vehicle was heading south on Marksheffel and drifted off the west side of the road.
