The Department of Public Safety Standards and Training Board on Jan. 22 revoked the public safety certifications of 10 public safety officers and took no action against three others following allegations of moral fitness violations both on and off the job.
The board reviewed and adopted the recommendations of the department’s professional policy committees. Those policy committees, including the Fire Policy Committee, Police Policy Committee and Corrections Policy Committee, discuss and make determinations about cases of alleged moral fitness violations based on other agencies’ investigations.
