Columbia man sentenced to prison after bringing gun to plasma donation center

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) – The U.S. District Attorney’s Office announced Thursday that a Columbia resident has been sentenced to prison after bringing a gun to a plasma donation center.

Donovan Jackson, 32, will spend more than two years in federal prison for being a felon in possession of a firearm.

According to the US attorney’s office, employees with the plasma donation center on Decker Boulevard called 911 on May 18, 2023, because Jackson arrived to donate with a firearm in the front pocket of his sweatshirt…
