PINE GROVE, Ala. (WKRG) — A single mother’s home in the Pine Grove community near Bay Minette was heavily damaged by a fire on Tuesday morning.

Hailey Jones and her two daughters were able to escape safely, but everything inside the home was destroyed.
“You name it, it’s gone. The kids’ clothes, their toys, everything that you need to make a home, you know, is burned up in the fire,” Hailey Jones’ older sister, Melissa Nichols, said on her behalf.
Jones was helping her two and four-year-old daughters get ready for pre-school on Tuesday morning when she noticed a weird smell.
“She noticed the smell of smoke like something was on fire, went and kind of investigated,” Nichols explained…
