An unlicensed driver from Guatemala was arrested after a traffic stop near a busy gate in The Villages.
A deputy pulled over 22-year-old Elfido Nery Garcia-Ramirez near the Morse Gate at County Road 466 and Morse Boulevard around 9:45 p.m. Sunday, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. His grey Mitsubishi sedan had no visible plate lights.
When asked for his driver’s license, Garcia-Ramirez stated he did not have one. He instead gave his name and date of birth, which was used to confirm he had never been issued a license, the report said…
