BEDFORD, Va. (WFXR) – Bedford Fire Department responded to an active residential structure fire in the 1400 block of Mob Creek Rd. on Jan. 21 at 3:32 p.m.
Crews requested a tanker task force because of a large column of smoke visible from a distance.
Wagon 1 was the first to arrive and their crew of four firefighters initiated a fire attack, established command and completed vertical ventilation operations. Rescue 1 arrived shortly after and their crew of five split up to assist with fire attack and conduct a search.
Bedford Fire Department says crews worked for four hours to get the fire under control and complete overhaul. All searches were negative and noninjuries were reported…
