As children in the crowd babbled and sun streamed into the auditorium of Syracuse University’s College of Law, 34 people were sworn as new United States citizens.
Applicants from 18 different countries took the Oath of Allegiance in front of family and friends Thursday, marking the last step of their journey towards citizenship.
