More than 1,000 customers slammed by power outages in Austin-area suburb

More than 1,000 people are without power on Friday morning, January 23, in and around the Austin-area suburb of Manor, according to Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative’s outage map.

The map reveals two pockets within the corridor east of Austin, with a large-scale outage in Manor impacting approximately 950 customers. That outage began around 8:35 a.m. Friday and is down from an initial outage figure of roughly 1,144 customers.

A second pocket in and around Aus-Tex Acres Lane, north of U.S. Hwy. 290 East in Manor, is affecting an estimated 215 customers Friday. That outage began even earlier Friday morning, at approximately 7:53 a.m…
