New Orleans to target more than $100 million in unpaid traffic tickets

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – The City of New Orleans is getting aggressive when it comes to raising revenues, and it’s setting its sights on drivers who don’t obey the law.

“Part one is an additional 50 officers, part two is we’re going after the backlog,” said CAO Joe Giarrusso.

Fox 8 has reported that the city has more than $100 million in unpaid traffic tickets, something the Moreno administration says it will target by more aggressively placing boots on repeat offenders’ cars…
