ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. (WGN) — An Arlington Heights wrestling coach and his staff have been relieved of their duties following a weekslong investigation into residency eligibility issues and potential recruiting practices.
Hersey High School’s Head Wrestling Coach Joe Rupslauk and other members of the wrestling staff had been on administrative leave while District 214 officials conducted an internal review. Details as to what the district was investigating remained unclear, with school officials citing the probe as a personal matter.
